1. Hydraulic expansion
The hydraulic expansion of tee is a forming process in which the branch pipe is expanded by the axial compensation of the metal material. The process is to use a special hydraulic press to inject liquid into the tube billet with the same diameter as the tee, and then press the tube billet through the two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. The volume of the tube billet becomes smaller after being squeezed, and the liquid in the tube billet increases with the volume of the tube billet. The metal material flows along the inner cavity of the die under the double action of the liquid pressure in the side cylinder and the tube blank and expands the branch pipe.
The hydraulic expansion process of tee can be formed at one time, and the production efficiency is high. The wall thickness of the head and shoulder of the tee has increased.
Due to the large equipment tonnage required for the hydraulic expansion process of seamless tee, it is mainly used for the manufacture of standard tee with wall thickness less than DN400 in China. Its suitable forming materials are low carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, including some non-ferrous metal materials, such as copper, aluminum, titanium and so on.
Hot press forming
Tee hot forming is to flatten the tube blank larger than tee diameter to the size of tee diameter.
Cold drawn tee
Make a hole in the part where the branch pipe is stretched; The tube blank is heated and put into the forming die, and the die of drawing branch pipe is put into the tube blank. Under the action of pressure, the billet is compressed in the radial direction. In the process of radial compression, the metal flows in the direction of the branch pipe and forms the branch pipe under the tension of the die. The whole process is formed by the radial compression of the billet and the stretching process of the branch pipe. Different from the hydraulic expansion tee, the metal of the hot-pressed tee branch pipe is compensated by the radial motion of the tube blank, so it is also called the radial compensation process.
The tonnage of the equipment required for material forming is reduced due to the use of pressing tees after heating. The hot-pressing tee has a wide adaptability to materials, and is suitable for low carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel materials; In particular, tee with large diameter and thick tube wall is usually adopted by this forming process.
